By slightly increasing the pulley diameter, this setup helps slow down alternator RPM at higher engine speeds—reducing heat, drag, and wear on the alternator while still maintaining reliable charging performance.

Pulley Ratio Information:
Calculate pulley ratio by dividing the diameter of your crankshaft pulley by the diameter of the alternator pulley.

• Example: A 7.48-inch crank pulley (Stock LS) with a 2.9-inch alternator pulley yields a 2.58:1 pulley ratio (7.48 ÷ 2.9 ≈ 2.58).

• This means the alternator will spin about 19,350 RPM at 7,500 engine RPM.

• G Series alternators are rated to 18,000 RPM.

• S and Elite Series alternators are rated to 20,000 RPM.

• All ICT Billet Sold Mechman Alternators are Elite Series
